Christmas Fellowship 2009

Though the birth of Jesus happened thousands of years ago, it is always good to recall it. We cannot have salvation without Jesus birth.

To God be the glory for the things he has done. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Dr. Jeff visited our small congregation, and from his heart shared the word of God. In the picture is Dr. Jeff and me ( bro. Amram ).

Dr. Jeff Vickers is Coming!

In this difficult times, people need encouragement. We are glad to inform our prayer supporters that Dr. Jeff Vickers, from Australia, will be coming to the Philippines and will share God's word to us. Please pray that God will use him mightily during the said visit. He will be with us ( Christian Refuge Baptist Center ) on December 4 to 6.

A reminder inside the Baptist Center

Recently, we posted a phrase inside the Baptist Center, to remind us that we must worship God in the beauty of his holiness. The letter A swayed a little when the picture was taken, but was finally fixed before we left. Bro. Jonathan did a good job.

Progressing inspite of hindrances

In the Lord's work, we are dreaming of progress. It is really good to see improvements in any project we do. However, hindrances are always present. It may be less today but more in the future. This past week, God is so good. He uses few of his people to make more benches on a voluntary basis. We saved expenses because the people of God did something, they gave their strength freely to make the needed benches. We still need to paint it, but at least God provided the major thing. Please continue to pray for us. Let us not forget that working for God is not a waste of time, it is always worth the effort.

Recent Sunday - 80 in attendance

Praise be the name of the Lord Jesus. God provided 70 people in oour recent Sunday Worship Service. We need additional chairs. Please pray for us.

A Special Prayer Service

Last July 26, that was Sunday, at two oclock in the afternoon. A special prayer service was conducted at Open Door Baptist Church; the purpose of which, is to officially commission brother Amram to minister the new group known as " Christian Refuge Baptist Center ". You can see from back to front the people who joined the meeting. The new group will have its first formal Sunday service on the first week of August 2009.

She is faithful in attending the meetings and has invited others to visit the fellowship center. We praise God for people like her in the ministry.
